Headquartered in Athens, Aegean Airlines is the largest airline in Greece and flies to more than 80 destinations across Europe, as well as points in Africa and the Middle East. Since 1999, Aegean Airlines has been the largest Greek carrier by providing full service, premium quality short and medium haul services. Aegean Airlines operates scheduled and charter services from Athens and Thessaloniki to other major Greek destinations as well as to a number of European and Middle Eastern destinations.

Aegean Airlines main hubs are Athens International Airport in Athens, Thessaloniki International Airport in Thessaloniki and Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus. It also uses six other Greek airports as focus bases, some of which are seasonal. Aegean Airlines is the largest Greek airline by total number of passengers carried, by number of destinations served and by fleet size, and also currently operates 134 routes, 100 of which are international and 34 domestic.

Aegean Airlines is part of the Star Alliance and has codeshare agreements with about 15 airlines. As a Star Alliance member, Aegean Airlines passengers can have increased connectivity to 1.250 destinations of Star Alliance network in 195 countries. In its 17 years history, Aegean has strongly contributed to the development of tourism, both of Athens and the region, launching new destinations and increasing the market volume.

Aegean Airlines has invested heavily in state-of-art, brand new Airbus A320/321 and currently operates a fleet of 61 aircrafts, comprised by 47 Airbus family aircraft and 14 Bomardier Q series family aircraft. Aegean has been honored with the Skytrax World Airline Award for the eighth time, as the Best Regional Airline in Europe. This award was granted to Aegean for the 6th year in a row and for the 7th time since 2009 and is yet one more proof of the high quality of the services provided by the company to its passengers.
